Colour palettes in Micrografx Designer (IGrafx Designer)

The Designer is an easy to use, accurate and versatile vector-based drawing program. The "palette manager" offers the use of several colour palettes (.pl4 files). Organization with colours becomes a child's game and ensures color accuracy!

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

In this program variant the RGB palettes (sRGB, Trinitron) were defined in CMYK. To achieve this the neutral colour part was substituted by 100% Black (100% GCR).


Using colour palettes in Micrografx/IGrafx Designer

  1. Click on the colour selection field (bucket, left) and the palette symbol (top).
  2. Move onto the "Palette Manager" in the menu "Format".
  3. Import the desired palette file for you output device and select "Replace Current Palettes".
  4. Select the wanted version of the displayed colour palettes.
  5. Select the "Floating Palette".
  6. Design with your colour system!


Use of the RAL CLASSIC colours in a drawing. The colour names appear in an indicator field.
